Umbrella Days - You are the Umbrella to my Rainy Days

Create beautiful scenes with grass, clouds, and flower dies, and add a heartfelt sentiment to brighten their day. Personalize it by coloring the person with the umbrella. Perfect for sharing a little love, rain or shine!

Measurements:

Misty Moonlight cardstock: 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”
Basic White cardstock: 5” x 3 ¾” (2), 2” x 3”
Boho Blue cardstock: 4” x 4”
Berry Burst cardstock: 3” x 3”
Lemon Lolly cardstock: 4” x 1 ½”, 2” x 2”
Night of Navy - Natural Tones Linen Thread: 10” approx.

Instructions:

1. Fold Misty Moonlight cardstock in half to form a card base.
2. Die cut two clouds and the narrow banner from the Stylish Shapes dies out of Boho Blue cardstock.
3. Die cut the larger banner out of Lemon Lolly cardstock.
4. Die cut largest banner die from the Nested Essential dies out of Basic White cardstock and Stamp the greeting on the lower portion of the die cut with Misty Moonlight ink.
5. Cut the white banner just above the greeting leaving enough room to tie the linen thread around it. Layer the other two banner die cuts underneath as shown. Cut the excess off the top then wrap with linen thread and tie in a bow and set aside.
6. Die cut all the small flowers out of Berry Burst cardstock and Lemon Lolly cardstock. Save all pieces including the small inside dots for the center of the flowers.
7. On one of the 5” x 3 ¾” pieces of Whisper White cardstock, stamp the Child with an umbrella and the dog in Memento ink, as shown.
8. Stamp the rain in Boho Blue ink by stamping it off first.
9. Using the Blending Brushes, first add Boho Blue ink to the raindrop area, then Gray Granite ink under the dog and child, then add Granny Apple Green ink around and between the dog and child.
10. Color the child and dog as shown using Stampin' Blends.
11. Using the blending brush add Boho Blue ink to the edges of the clouds. Adhere them to the raindrop area, as shown. When you trim the big cloud on the right side of the card add the trimmed piece to the left side.
12. Pop up the greeting at the top of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
13. Adhere Berry Burst flowers to the Granny Apple Green areas as shown usingMultipurpose Liquid Glue. Add the Lemon Lolly flower centers to the center of each flower with a small drop of liquid glue. (save the Lemon Lolly flowers and Berry Burst flower centers for another card)
14. Outline the child and dog with Light Pool Party Blend and underline the child and dog’s feet with the Gray Granite Blend.
15. Stamp the inside and envelope to match.
