Measurements:
• Daffodil Delight: 5 ½” x 8 ½”, scored at 2 1/8” and 6 3/8”
• Basic White: 1 7/8” x 5 ¼” (cut 2); 3” x 4 ¼” (cut 4 but score only 2 at 1½”); 4” x 5 ¼” (inside2” x 3 ½” (die cut); 2 ½” x 2 ¾” (duck)
• DSP: Pattern #1 (Daffodil Delight): 1 5/8” x 5” (cut 2); ¼” x 4” (inside)
• DSP: Pattern #2 (Mint Macaron): 2 ¾” x 4”; ¾” x 4” (inside)
Instructions:
1. Using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, stamp duck onto 2 ½” x 2 ¾” Basic White piece. Color using Blends markers – Pumpkin Pie (dark) for feet and bill and Daffodil Delight for body. Fussy cut.
2. Using the 1 13/16” x 3 3/16” Stitched Rectangle die, cut 2” x 3 ½” Basic White piece. Stamp “my friend” at bottom.
3. Fold card base on score lines. Do NOT worry if the center is gapped a little – you will be trimming later anyway.
4. Attach the Daffodil Delight panels to the Basic White panels and then to the front panels of the card base.
5. Fold the 3” x 4 ¼” Basic White pieces along 1 ½” score lines and burnish with bone folder.
6. Using Liquid Glue, attach the two folded 3” x 4 ¼” pieces to the back of one of the unscored 3” x 4 ¼” pieces with the folds meeting in the middle.
7. Using Liquid Glue, attach the final 3” x 4 ¼” piece to the other sides of the folded ones to create flat panels on the front and back with slots on both sides. Trim all four sides if there is anywhere they are not meeting exactly. From this point, this piece will be called the “closure piece”.
8. Attach the Mint Macaron DSP piece to the front of the closure piece.
9. Attach the Stitched Rectangle to the Mint Macaron DSP.
10. Using Dimensionals, attach the duck to the Stitched Rectangle.
11. Slide the closure piece onto the card base so the panels on the card base fit into the slots on either side of the closure piece. If the card does not lie flat, remove the closure piece and trim the sides of the card base (usually only about 1/16” – 1/8” of an inch or so is needed.)
12. Inside: Attach DSP pieces to bottom of 4” x 5 ¼” Basic White piece.
13. Stamp sentiment and chick. Color chick using Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight Blends Markers.
14. Attach piece to inside of card. Attach 1 large and 1 small Brushed Butterfly to inside.
15. Close card and attach closure piece. Attach Genial Gems and Brushed Butterlies.
